On separate note:
People are strange sometimes aren't they? Recently I had a non profit company solicit us.They wished us,our charity, on their website as clients. They claimed to help charities.Eventually and kindly we complied.They sent us emails .However they never quite seemed to do or achieve anything.
Then one day we sent them one email about a small private fundraiser we were having for a crisis zone. The non profit sent the rudest response back to us you can possibly imagine as well as an unsubscribe request.
Now bear in mind this was an organization that said that it helped charities???And an organization that went out of their way to solicit us! And here it was ,behind the scenes, throwing mud and being rude to the very charities it solicited and publicly put on their website. Rather it has turned out to be a nuisance to charities.And rather than leaving and let well alone after being told off for her/the non porift's rude email,it ,the founder of the inconsequential non profit,has kept trying to ride on the back of our charity and get publicity for herself, on our coat tails. Again,rather the non profit has been a total nuisance to our fundraising. Naturally we have ignored her and her cronies and they still keep going.Trying to distract from the issue at hand and attention seek for themselves,and off our good name .What was even stranger is that one of the non profits cronies was trying to get money out of us,to make them all go away?- we saw the cronies subversive emails he sent out anonymously trying to blow up the situation, for his own advantage- What's that called again?Blackmail or stand over tactics? Or just plain bullying?
We are all used to star lackies
in the film business..but I guess it happens in non profit world too.
Websites set up to feed like scroungers and bottom feeders off bona
fide hard working charities and foundations.Sad huh.Sad people.

Was woken early morning by a friend to say the film Lebanon had won Venice..yes it it did..as friends are involved all round it must be good.!
The apparently "boring " Vinters Luck was panned at Tornonto ,by Variety and other reviewers ..which is just as well as I have written a wine film myself that is rollicking good fun...
and I have sent my dear New York entertainment attorney along to watch the upbeat lesbian yodelling Topp Twins film "Untouchable Girls" which I am sure everyone will hear more about...!

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Mar. 9 2007 ( NEWSWIRE) --Oscar winning Producer Mark Ordesky acknowledged and thanked award winning film maker Ms. Wilding for her "substantial contribution to the Lord of the Rings movies," in a conversation through New Line's Legal Affairs to Wilding's attorneys at the law firm of Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard, in New York. Ms. Wilding was been left grappling with many security concerns since the movies,due to fan stalkers of the movie. For the first time Ms. Wilding speaks publicly.
The films were directed by Peter Jackson and produced by Mark Ordesky and Barry Osbourne. Since the films, Ms. Wilding has been harassed and defamed by a set of anonymous fans/internet stalkers of Lord of the Rings. It is not known why Ms. Wilding has been attacked. Official authorities concluded recently that the Internet attacks are coming out of America.
Ms. Wilding has not been compensated for her work despite the Trilogy grossing over 2 billion. Attorneys for Ms. Wilding sought assistance on a basis of fairness, to help stop the attacks. Ms. Wilding has had to endure. No help was forthcoming from New Line.
Contrary to rumors by fans, there has not ever been any basis for legal proceedings between Ms. Wilding and New Line. Ms. Wilding's work, that enabled the film to continue, was at the corner stone of a flailing overspilling production beset with difficulties at the time. Anna Wilding worked extensively during the final year of production to bring about a peaceful resolution to ongoing conflicts and concerns on set with regards to the treatment of cast, crew and animals. Mr. Ordesky was often in touch with Ms. Wilding by telephone during both the production and editing stages of the films.
Ms. Wilding who was a colleague of Mark Ordesky, and was in talks prior for a two picture deal offer by New Line), contacted Mr. Ordesky with concern after she was contacted directly with complaints from crew, and cast members. Ms. Wilding researched, took statements and investigated, and experienced first hand the lack of cooperation, faced by cast and crew as they tried to get matters resolved through the production, safety and occupational groups, animal welfare groups and other agencies and outlets. Ms. Wilding then took the matter to the American Humane Association where for many months she continued to work on resolving matters. Some crew were injured during the making of the films, says Wilding, in which many horses were injured and several horses died.
