Okay, the final quick blog on London and Cannes.
My last night in London was spent at a lovely private party hosted by Molly(one of the owners of Sudeley) at Sudely Castle.The party was thrown for some of the movers and shakers in the contemporary art world. Many known art (private collectors and gallery owners) and thespian and film figures were there from USA and London..including hotel king pin Andre Balzaar from NY, my old pal publisher William Cash.......all who I chatted with. Great dinner and of course great castle,as far as these things go!
My old pal British writer and journalist Anthony Haden Guest ,and others,took to the air in one art piece ,(see to the right and below,) and the interplay of helicopters arriving and sheep grazing was not lost on me.It was like being at a cousin's event overseas.True! I went to a book launch on a cousins property in the anitpodes once and some chose to arrive on the property in helicopters amongst the sheep and lawns! As did my cousin!
We ,including Molly,never did figure out which of Molly's art collector clients arrived in the helicopters at Sudeley
